Tried the legendary Ladurée macarons from Takashimaya yesterday and they were nothing like what I expected. I've never been a huge fan of macarons (except for the aesthetics aspect) but I decided to give Ladurée a go this time and hell no Ladurée did not disappoint. However, I do think that they are crazy overpriced though (I bought 12 pieces for SGD45) Prices start from $3.80 per macaron to $266 to a box of 70 macarons. SGD45 for 12 macarons? Definitely the first and last time for me.

Hi Audrey, it's macarons with only one 'o'! Macaroons are a whole other pastry altogether hehe.
