Tucked away on a quiet street in north-eastern Singapore is the love nest and home office of The Tiramisu Hero. We had the opportunity to document the relationship between the founders of the locally-bred online bakery store, which has recently extended to various physical stores. We heard that an actual The Tiramisu Hero cafe is under renovations, and we can't help but wonder how much time and effort (not forgetting, money) was invested in the business. These are two unique individuals who are closely bonded by their affection for each other, silly cheeky smiles and long nights of churning orders for their business. The never-say-die spirit, the power of two fiercely determined entrepreneurs.
Many people fail to realize that making food is so much more than glossy recipe books chucked on cluttered kitchen shelfs. It far exceeds the ultimate goal of filling one's tummy or perfecting that final ounce of spice for added flavor. The art of making food is about sharing a meal with the people you love, learning new traditions and creating some on your own. We couldn't help but notice how Aileen and Peggy are so different, yet similar in countless ways. (yes I was making mental notes throughout the time we were hanging out #notcreepy) Such experiences has made a turn to gel them together in perfect unison, along with a mixed combination of little flaws and diversifications. Unaware to our unsuspecting subjects, many shots were taken in an unscripted fashion, which would be shared in a separate entry.
