Spent my day shooting rather intensively in Bali for a travel client. These are some snippets I took along the way, loving how the colors turned out! Most of you should know that I don't take too well to vibrancy in my photos but these worked pretty fine for me. Perhaps I can get used to bright cheery colors. Really grateful to be here in Bali, documenting travel for the week and basically eating... a lot. Maybe a little too much haha
One thing that I really admire about the Balinese is that they are incredibly tolerant with each other. I am referring specifically to their transport system, which is perpetually complicated (at least to me). Busy winding roads, too many vehicles and not much of a system in regards to everything. Yet, the Balinese are gracious people who give way to ridiculous lane-cutters and foreigners who jaywalk as if the busy streets belong to their grandfather.
Above all, Bali has been nothing but fascinating in many degrees. The draping Balinese fabrics that adorn the streets, peddlers that pepper the dark lanes trying to sell magic mushrooms promising a good time. And not forgetting, countless stores selling gorgeous dreamcatchers (which I succumbed to in the end). I would love to pinpoint what makes Bali so god damned beautiful, but I don't have the right words to justify its splendor. There must be a reason why young startups and foreigners relocate to their padi field villages to live and bring up their families.
